Public Sector projects
Solarcentury has been appointed by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to supply and install photovoltaics (PV) as part of the £50 million Phase two - Low Carbon Building Programme (LCBP). Grants will be awarded to help schools, local housing authorities, housing associations and other public sector and charitable bodies throughout the UK to go solar by covering 50% of the cost of a PV installation.
Solarcentury has partnered with Scottish and Southern Energy to deliver solar installations through their electrical contracting business, Southern Electrical Contracting (SEC). Solarcentury will help those who wish to install photovoltaic panels through the necessary feasibility, application and funding process.
The funding is available immediately and interested parties are invited to register interest by filling in the application form.
Solarcentury has worked on many public sector projects from schools and social housing projects through to civic centres and transport lighting systems. Solar energy, particularly photovoltaics, brings clean energy into the heart of the community. For more details and case studies have a look at the Public Sector Projects in the projects gallery
Solarcentury is a member of Constructionline, the UK's register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related suppliers.
