Swindon, Wiltshire, UKThe PV installation on the National Trust New Central Building (Heelis) in Swindon received funding from the Energy Savings Trust's (EST) "Major PV Demonstration Programme". It was one of the highest ever scoring projects in the assessment process.
Solar photovoltaic (PV) modules were installed on the South side of each of 6 roof slopes, partially cantilevered over the North-facing slopes to provide shading to Northlights.
The solar photovoltaic (PV) array installed is made up of a total of 1544 Kaneka 54-Watt PV modules supplied by Solarcentury. The modules cover a total area of 1306m2 and are capable of producing a total peak DC power of 83.3kWp under Standard Test Conditions (STC).
