Solarcentury is a Framework Supplier for photovoltaics under the Government’s ‘Low Carbon Buildings Programme’. This allows us to offer 50% grants towards the cost of installing PV to Housing Associations and other organisations within the Public or Charity sector.
Developers working in partnership with Housing Associations or Registered Social Landlords can often deliver solar photovoltaics cheaper than any other renewable technology by taking advantage of this programme.
Key points relating to the grant:
• 50% of the installed cost is available as a grant
• Of the £17.5m allocated towards PV £10m remains
• The funding programme runs until March 2011
• Solarcentury will manage the application process, which takes three weeks from application to decision
