Grants
The Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform provides grants for home owners through the Low Carbon Buildings Programme.
Grants are awarded on a rolling, first-come-first-served basis. As a home owner you must be able to prove you have taken energy efficiency measures before you are eligible to apply. The levels of grants vary depending on technology, with a maximum of £2,000 per kW for solar PV, subject to an overall maximum of £2,500 or 50% of the relevant eligible costs, whichever is the lower.
